Life Members

Life Membership is the highest award available to recognise the outstanding contribution of individuals to the Club.

They will have made contributions, to the objectives of the Club over several years, which are clearly recognised, respected, acknowledged and endorsed by all members who know them. It is therefore only to be awarded in exceptional circumstances. An outstanding contribution is one which:

• results in the Club being substantially, and positively changed by that contribution
• occurs over a significant period of time (at least 5 to 10 years)
• required substantial personal input
• can be clearly documented and corroborated.

Summary of selection process The Club’s Life Member Review Committee reviews the nominees’ contributions and creates a merit list of potential Life Members, and makes a recommendation to the Club’s Mgt Committee. The Club’s Mgt Committee ratifies the recommendation and presents the candidate/s name/s to the next AGM.
